1 Peter 2:11-12 (NIV)

11 Dear friends, I urge you, as foreigners and exiles, to abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul. 12 Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.

Description:

In this passage, Peter addresses believers as “foreigners and exiles,” highlighting their temporary status on Earth and their ultimate citizenship in Heaven. He urges them to resist sinful desires that can harm their spiritual well-being. Instead, he encourages them to live exemplary lives characterized by good deeds. By doing so, even those who might criticize them will be compelled to recognize their faith and ultimately glorify God. This passage emphasizes the importance of maintaining moral integrity and setting a positive example, even in the face of opposition or misunderstanding.
